Date Night Ideas At Home……
As mom’s of young children we trend to focus most of our energy on them especially when they come home from school, and or getting them off to school or daycare. This can even be true for women who are stay at home mom’s too! Kids take up your time, space, laundry, efforts, and even your energy. They are like little vampires they suck the energy right out of you. There are also those mamas that want to have a date with the baby right there in the middle especially when it should be some intimacy there. I know that finding a babysitter can be expensive. I ought to know especially when my boys got older to watch their younger two brothers for the hubby and I.
How do you continue to date your husband after the honeymoon may be long over?
It can get so easy to hop on Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram and zone out, but that is NOT feeding your marriage. This is NOT how we show our spouse that we love them. If that’s what happens every night, you’re going to wake up one day and realize that you don’t know who that man is anymore. Your best friend. Your soulmate. Let’s stop this cycle right now.
Date Your Husband….
Jerral and I try to find the time to make sure that we are feeding each other in the areas of this marriage that really count. We both came into this marriage with a HUGE amount of needs. We both were broken from something, but wanted to make sure that we were investing in US!
Date Night List
Roller Skating- This was a really fun, cheap date! I actually taught my husband how to roller skate.
Picnic- We have done this on a few occasions, and actually indoors in our bedroom. Jerral created this backdrop here. I am so in LOVE with this man.
Board Games- We love playing a board, loser has to shhhhh, makeup your own rules!! You can find a few board games HERE!
Theatre- (Movies) This can pretty old quickly especially now that we have all this NETFLIX and chill….
Book Store Date- This is a great suggestion if you guys want to enhance your reading more. Don’t forget we are both teachers.

The Date Night Tray…..
The date night tray is something that I whipped up for Jerral, and I this past weekend, and it was so nice. If you can see I just placed things on the tray that we would like to eat. Keep it simple don’t go overboard, and if you notice by my foot I’m in bed. The date will start and end there on purpose. (ha ha ha)..
Needless to say this is where our HOME DATE ended, and that is all she wrote folks. I wanted to leave you with some things that you could use. Also, with things that maybe could be inexpensive, and or not so costly. Dating your hubby doesn’t have to be money heavy, and or all about fan fare. Keep it simple, and feed the things that matter most in your home first.
Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8)
