Easter Day was one of those times where I remember my mom so fondly, and it was a very nice memory of the time that I shared with her. My mom mad a big deal about Easter because of the reason for the season, and why we needed to do this as a family, and do this together! She made sure that we were dressed to the T, and also that our table scape for brunch was beautifully put together. I can say that I have learned so much from her over those past years, and I am truly grateful. In my home I am the only girl, and they don’t really care to much about frilly, dainty, and cute. They are my sweet boys though #heartsofgold, #stealmyheartalways, #lovetheirmama! When my boys come to the kitchen for a snack, dinner, breakfast etc., they will always say , “Thank you mama for cooking for me”! #tears, I am blessed for their whole hearted spirit! It never fails that every single time they say thank you, I am glad that I am their mama, and it brings me to a time in my life where I was glad for my mama too, and the time and effort she put into me as a child! (I miss you so much mama)!! The green hutch that you see in the background of this picture was my mom’s antique china cabinet, that was re-purposed! I did a previous post here, about this dining room redo.
I wanted to create something fun for my boys but still capturing my feminine side as well, have to remember they are boys. My home is an 1980’s fixer upper, and it gives Mr. JW and I life. We live our home so much because it allows us to tailor it to our liking, and our personalities. I didn’t choose soft colors because that is so not my world, and there is always something amazing happening or going on in my life with these 5 men including Mr. JW!!!!! I will link everything down below for where you can find some of these pieces for your Easter Ready Brunch!!
Mostly, every item that you see in these pics are handed down to me, and or exception is the candy in which you can find at Wal-Mart.(lol)..Let me be honest here I am a mommy to 4 handsome men, and there is no way that I can go and buy everything I want in my home brand new, right out of the store. Ok, the round table is my mom’s table that she #thrifted, and now it is sitting in my house for my family to enjoy. Here is a table that I love as another choice for your formal dining, or kitchen here at a lower price point, and from a higher price point here. My chairs are a craigslist find, and I got very lucky to find these beauties for only $30 each (wohooooo) a shopping nerd yall!!I am currently eyeing these chairs here on craigslist, and they are wing back chairs that need a little loving, and I am just the one to give it! (lol)..
My wine goblets can be used for multiple things such as dessert glasses, or a trifle glass to layer with, or even a great cocktail too. These were handed down to me from my grandmother (mom’s mom) who sadly left me a couple years ago. They are priceless, but here are some good options for a china plate, or plate for your table setting here, here, here, and wine glass here. You can also find the gold chargers at your local TJMaxx, Dollar General, and or Target. Each table setting has 3 mats, and a dinner plate, salad plate, and 2 napkins! This plate here can also be used as a layering plate, which I am so in love with to carry you through the summer.
The sign “SUNSHINE” can be found at Target in your dollar spot, and under $3 folks, yep I love that too! I found my napkins with the yellow trim at Home Goods, and the beautiful rich yellow pattern napkins #waitforit, #waitforit, $.97 at Wal-Mart in the party aisle (scoreeeeee)!!!! I also found my black and white, and yellow ribbon at Walmart for under $2.00, and you can’t beat that with a stick yall!! Blooms were picked by my favorite guy Mr. JW, and this is a regular in our house, and I am not a complaining woman ladies!! Oh, before I forget the flower bottom chairs were my mom’s chairs, and they were recovered a year ago with a fabric I chose from Hobby Lobby! Well, tomorrow is the first day back from Spring Break, and we are NOT ready like every other school teacher who may be going back, lol! I hope you enjoyed my Easter Brunch table setting!
