Formal Dining Room Update………….
I have been super busy trying to furnish, and update this house as we try to live a normal life here. (LOL)… I wish I knew how to work only on one room at a time. My brain does NOT allow me to work on one thing at a time, I wish!!!!!!! Jerral always says that I am always on 100, and that is 100% of the time. At times this decorating can get to be a little overwhelming, but I manage somehow. As, I give you guys tours and updates please know that I am not RICH, nor wealthy.
I am a SUPER thrift store hunter, and can find a bargain like NOBODY’s business. Jerral says I like the “HUNT”, and it gets my adrenaline going (LOL)!!! It’s okay whatever is going to save my family money, and still be able to eat makes all the sense to me people… At the end of everyday being house poor is NOT an option. There is always a way to decorate within a budget, and live that way in any area of your life.
One thing that I have learned thrifting is that you do have to search high and low, but if you are determined you can find it. I am a passionate DIY person, so there is always a way to enhance, or make something be yours. Meaning that you can always personalize it for your home, and give it life.
Room Layout…. (My Vision)
I have to say that these items seen above in the picture are NOT what I have purchased, please NOTE that I am a HUGE thrfter. This board will serve as a vision for where I am headed with the formal dining room. I currently found my dining room for drum roll pleaseeeeeee $125 with the chairs.. (Wooohoooo).. Remember I told you guys I am big on this thrifting thing, and DIY. We have a beautiful antique china cabinet that I painted last year in this post here.
We debated about repainting it, and doing something different, but I convinced myself to NOT do that. I am happy with my color choice, and it makes me so happy!!! If you check out my Instagram account here, you can see how the room is currently looking with my new thrift finds. I may choose some different pillows to go into this room, but not sure yet. Let me know what you think about the balance and build of this room? I welcome all comments….good or bad…
