Gallery Wall 101…….
Hey friends! I am so glad that you guys stopped by to see my “Forever Home Tour”, that meant the world to me you know that!!!!! Well, the decorating has begun and I am more than elated to show you some of the ideas that I have been tossing around for this place. Being that this will be our last spot to land, I didn’t want to just throw decor up. Especially that didn’t have any meaning to my family. Jerral and I wanted to choose things that have meaning, been used, lived in, and hold value in our hearts.
I wanted the decor to be deep, meaning very layered, and meaningful to us. I remember growing up my mom was always decorating our home we grew up in. She changed things through the holidays, and seasons as they passed through. She inspired me to NOT just put things up that were what she called “WALL FILLERS”!! Even though she is not physically here with me today, her home inspiration still leaves a HUGE stain on my life!!:) (I miss you mommy, so very much)….
Warm Wood, and Intimate Messages…..
All of these pieces are ones that I have been looking at, and they are so warm, inviting, and intimate for a wall grouping. I love the bottom piece with the writing, it just makes me feel how much I adore my husband and the love he gives this marriage. Lately, maybe I have been more mushy, gushy because of our position in life, and how God has just blessed our lives so much. We have gotten a lot done, but this gallery wall has been on my mind a lot people!!!
As, you can see there is another “Gallery Wall”, but what makes this one interesting is this tribal wall hanging. I have been seeing these hangings all over Instagram, and there are some pretty elaborate ones out there. They can be pretty pricey, and pretty affordable too. I found this one here at this Etsy shop, and here too!! These are some other hidden treasures that I have been looking at that really get my blood pumping here. As, you can see I am only going to hang a story, not a “Wall Filler”!! I have been working a lot on the kitchen, my youngest bedrooms, and my bedroom. Jerral and I want our room to reflect the coziness, and how it is a retreat for us to come too..
Ok!Antlers has grown in my heart so much over the last year. This is just something I am trying to get out of my bones. One of my sweetest students in my class, bought me the most thoughtful Christmas present of gold antlers for my white bookcase in my kitchen. I was like over the “MOON” about this gift and isn’t she thoughtful to hear me, and listen!! (Ha ha ha)… My mom was so big into antiques, and things having value. I just want this place to be a home full of our treasures, and things we love, or created together. These are just some of the pieces that I have been pondering over, and can’t wait to show you what I pulled together for my gallery wall…
How do you choose decor, and place those pieces of sentimental value in your home?
