Homemade Bread and My Sister……
I remember growing up that my sister and I would make this homemade bread together. My mom was a legacy in the kitchen, and she MADE my sister, and I stay and learn (Ha ha ha). How I love, and miss that woman!! I can remember so long ago, when I cooked my first meal while my mom was at work. My mom had did a DRY run through of the meal with me beforehand, and then everything was up to me. OMG!!! Being so afraid to cook this entire meal alone. I knew that after she had been at work all day she wanted to come and eat, and see an end result. I was also secretly excited about using the stove alone.
My grandmother was even more excellent than my mom, and she could bake anything under the sun. My grandmother made these pies, breads, rolls, cakes, and all this fattening food. These recipes are very hard to remember at times. My mom’s gumbo recipe has been written down but my sister and I still get a little RECIPE intimidation (LOL)!!
As you can see I love cutting boards, they are an addiction, but a healthy addiction! (LOL). Here are some of my faves below that I am in love with. They are all at a good price point. I am always on the hunt for a sturdy, marble, or graceful wood cutting board.
This is the easiest bread recipe-
1 1/2 to 2 cups water (room temperature not warm, I usually add closer to 2 cups)
1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
