Styling a Fireplace or Mantle Can Be Super Tough………
This is the focal point of your living space, and finding the right accessories can make or break this space. There are some spaces that use their T.V. for the focal point, and there are other pieces that stand up! I decided on using a big, beautiful, ornate mirror for this space. There were several different ways that we could use this space, but we did what works for our family. Home decor has been a strong passion for me, for a while, and having a beautiful space is important. Also, having a space that works for your family is more important, they are the ones that create the space. Always remember that furniture don’t make the home, it’s the people that live on the inside of it.
Using Simple Pieces To Up Grade Your Mantle…..
I chose to use very simple pieces, because my mirror is stealing the show enough. I decided to use the plant with the brown and white basket, you can never use too many plants in your home. Plants are great for putting fresh air in your home, and bringing in those natural elements. The natural candle holders that you see with the marble stone top, were clearance finds at Hobby Lobby. The other candle holders that are gold, are old and spray painted gold with my favorite spray paint. There is a lot of white in my living room, but I try to bring in the warmth with warm wood tones too!
Use This Guide To Help You Style……
This is a great guide to help you style your mantle, and gives you amazing pointers on where things should be placed. Remember this is a focal point in your main living space, and I would say choose wisely. I chose that mirror, and it was on major clearance at Hobby Lobby too! (Win, Win)!!!!!
I love the simplicity of this fireplace with a favorite phrase!
You could always use one piece, for the simplicity. There are some people who love a more intricate, and detailed space.
This reminds me of the simplicity of my fireplace too!
This is my favorite one so far, and I may steal this idea of this HUGE clock above the fireplace.
How about this Bohememian Flair, in loveeeee!
There is NO wrong way or RIGHT way to build your home the way you feel is right. Remember its your place of refuge, and comfort. You and your family make it become what it contains.
