Real or Faux… Which One Works For You…..
Plants add a positive connection to any home, and they actually give a sense of really living in your home! I love all types of plants, and look forward to having them around the house. I definitely wanted to see what more of you preferences were, and what types you prefer to have. Real or Faux, can actually go hand in hand but my preference is both. A plant’s survival will solely depend on how much light your home gets, and where will it get fed the most by that light?
Plant’s provide oxygen to your home environment, and purify the air which is amazing!
This plant that you see here is actually one here on my kitchen table, and this one is fake. She was actually found near my house at a goodwill for $5, and I love her.
Please know that I am a true plant lover, whether real or fake. I have noticed though with this recent home purchase that we don’t get the sunlight pouring in. I have to take a lot of care and notice into where I place plants, so that they get maximum sunlight if need be.
Pretty Vases and Loose Plants…..
I love anything BIG, or clear with some type of plant life in it. This vase actually sits here on this couch table, behind our sofa. The cost of this vase was actually supremely reasonable too, may be under $13. As, you can see there are my baskets below that table, and there is a whole post written about those HERE. The vase was found at Hobby Lobby, but I love this one here and here!
This beauty here is actually another faux plant, and it cost roughly $15, at my local goodwill. As, you can see in my placement in the living room there won’t be much sunlight there in this corner. Faux plants need so little maintenance, but do keep them clean. My family suffers so much from allergies, and giving their leaves a wipe down helps with dust bunnies.
This little beauty is another one I found HERE at my local nursery. This one required little sunlight, but loves to go all wild and out! I love my local nursery here in my town. If you ever get a chance to visit my little part of the world I wrote about the nursery HERE. When it is an extremely hot day, they give out free popsicles while you shop. (Can’t get any cuter than that)..
This beauty growing here on my counter tops is a very special plant, that belongs to my hubby! This plant was given to him at my husband’s grandfather’s funeral. He talks to him, waters him, makes sure that the light speaks to him. This plant actually sits on our window ledge in the kitchen, and gets maximum light. I make sure to prune the dead leaves, and keep him actively growing.
I hope that this allowed you to see what plants we have stored in our casa. It is so okay to have faux, and or real they will still pack a BIG punch! If I score on something that I feel is worth me sharing, I definitely want to see you win too. My next plant that I want to get is a Fiddle Leaf Fig, and they are so stinking gorgeous. Here is a pic HERE, of a Fiddle Leaf. My local nursery had a BIG one, but I wasn’t ready to pull the $100.00 price tag for her. Oh did I forget to mention that they are very popular, and a little pricey depending on the size.
I’ll soon be putting my faux plants in baskets to give them more of a cohesive feel in, and add to my home decor too!
Check out some of my baskets below.
