What The Experts Are Saying About The New Banana Pudding…..
Ok… OMG!! I can’t believe that I have waited this long to share this recipe with you guys. A while back I worked in a private school and a friend of mine loved baking, and making desserts. Well, one day she asked me did I like banana pudding, and I whaled out a loud, resounding “NO”!! She gave a scowl like no other, and was so astonished by my ability to not love such an American dish. Well, folks there you have it a dish that had not been attempted to be made by me. There are so many ways to make banana pudding, and the traditional way calls for cooking the custard on the stove. (YUCK)!! Why do people do this?
Well, my sweet friend showed me a new spin to this dish, and ever since she gave me this recipe there was no turning back. I am such a fan and my boys are even bigger fans. This recipe is so unlike your traditional recipe, it will literally blow you away. Well, here goes my take on Traditional Banana Pudding….
Once you cut up your banana slices paper thin find a pan that you like to do the layering in. I used my pie dish that I love, and it motivates to do a little baking for my family! Take your pie dish and layer cookies face down into the dish, and place bananas on top of those cookies.
You will need a can of sweetened condense milk though for this part! (Not shown in pictures)….
At this stage in the layering of this banana pudding this is the only layer that has bananas, and my boys love it this way. You are more than welcome to add another layer of bananas, and make it yours! I only prefer the bananas at the very bottom of this dish.
There will be another layer after this, and after that will be it. I am limited on space, and prefer to stop at 2 layers.
- 1-2 Bananas
- 1 can Sweet Condensed Milk
- 1 container Cool Whip
- 1 container plus a 1/2 of another Cream Cheese
- 2 Bags Pillsbury Chess Men Cookies
