Friday Favorites with Zara Shoes……..
I am getting that Spring fever!!! These beauties came across my feed on Instagram, being worn by this beauty HERE. She has a smoking blog, that I love to keep up with, and she has this fashion thing down packed. These multi strapped sandals just give me LIFE, and I I could definitely see myself wearing them through Spring and Summer! I also love these beauties HERE, and HERE.
Dining Room Chairs…..
I don’t want to give you too many photos of the chairs, or the process. We have definitely started revamping this room. We painted my mom’s antique cabinet a couple years ago, and it is a paint by Behr #parkpicnic. I get a ton of questions about that cabinet, and the color. We didn’t use chalk paint, it is covered in Behr Premium which is a very nice paint that goes on really well. I feel that chalk paint is very pricey, and you get such a small can of the stuff. So I chose a gallon of paint, and got more bang for my buck, in the end I felt this was more money conscious for me.
The floral fabric was a spin off of the cabinet, and there was a house I saw on Pinterest HERE, in Martha’s vineyard that I almost died over. It blew me away and I love the easiness of the table so much. I wrote about that table inspiration in this post HERE.
Easter Dessert…. (Can’t Wait)….
So I came across this Easter dessert that I wanted to try for my dinner. Hubby and I hosting a Pre-Easter Dinner on Saturday eve before Easter. I am only doing it this way , so that no one feels tied down on Easter day. I want family to be able to have time to go and visit with others before the day is gone. So I am hosting Easter dinner one day early, and want to cook this yummy carrot cake!
Soon I will be sharing some of my Easter ideas, and tablescapes a few days before Easter. I try to keep things very simple, and light and bright. I don’t like over storing items, so I tend to only use things that I can keep in rotation a lot.
I came across this article HERE, and loved it!! It’s titled “8 Things Kids Need to do by themselves before they are 13”, this rings so true even in my own home with my boys. I love my boys, but at some point I have to remove the reigns somehow. They claim that this would build competent, capable adults. I loved reading this article, and getting more insight into parenting. I had slowly stopped waking up my 13 year old. Now he wakes himself up to ask me, “Momma why didn’t you wake me up? I just told my husband that they need their own alarm clock, and we are on a mission.
I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend, I just finished running a Color Run 5K at my school. I felt a little empowered for making the initiative to run.
