7 Ways To Enjoy Smores, and Summer Fun……
Summer has been so amazing and chill! I recently purchased a new grill, and got our back patio up to speed too! If you haven’t forgotten we partnered with Home Depot to complete our patio. If you missed that post check it out here. I honestly have to say that I am so in love with that back patio, and the fun floors! Our patio is my new favorite spot to be, and it just makes me so happy for movie nights outdoors.
Check out on photo from our launch on the Home Depot website!!! If we are not taking in a roadtrip, then we are home figuring out our local fun. Being that we are on a budget, we find simple things to entertain our boys. They love being outdoors, so a simple game of badminton was to be had. We also love making these in the Summer time, they are so darn good! This post here will sum up how we start our Summers when school first lets out.
Backyard Games #1 for Summer Fun…
Our boys waste no time finding, and enjoying their own Summer fun. They are competitive, and sometimes can look at each other as competition. Jerral and I quickly curb all that energy into family fun. I actually purchased their badminton game here. They have multiple games in the box, but this one was the best!! They played this game for quite some time, and I was ok with that.
Jerral and I caved, and bought a new grill for the backyard. We are so in love with our new grill, we bought this one here from at Home Depot. I am laughting out loud, because Jerral says the grill be “GINNING” !!! (LOL).. We had some really yummy treats for the 4th, and who can resist blue punch, not me.
I have been dying to try smores with my guys. Ok, now you guys know that I have eaten smores but this was a different spin on smores. I am so excited to share with you 5 different ways to enjoy these bad boys!!
5 Times The Smores Summer Fun…..
Smore’s #1……
The first smores that I am sharing is the traditional smores that everyone loves. Ever since I was a little girl this one has always been my favorite.
In this photo here I am using the traditional graham cracker, Hershey’s chocolate bar, and these cute cut marshmallows they are selling in the grocery stores.
Smores #2….
In this picture I took away the traditional gramham cracker, and added the chessmen cookie by Pepperige Farms. Oh my, oh my this took this to another level for my guys, how yummy!!!!! I also use chessmen cookies in my pseudo banana pudding recipe, sooooooo goood find it here.
Smores #3….
How yummy is just a really juicy strawberry, with a touch of got fudge, melted marshmallow, and dipped in a crushed graham cracker? These were so fun for us to make, my boys died over all of their choices.
Smores #4….
Oh boy! I took two thin slices of a granny smith apple, and wedged melted marshmallow, and hot caramel sauce to create this mass confusion in my mouth.
Smores#5…
How about a yummy homemade brownie, some caramel sauce, hot fudge, melty marshmallow, and a crunchy graham cracker. Yessss!!!!
Smores #6…
I added a little bit of toasted coconuts, yummy chocolate, melty marshmallow, and a buttery chessmen cookie. I used the chessmen for a different spin.
Smores#7….
Last but not least, check out this beauty!!! I took some lemon custard, melty marshmallow, and a buttery chessmen cookie for this simple goodness.
These were a few of the ways that we enjoyed Summer, and even though it isn’t over yet. I wanted you guys to have some simple ways to bring summer into your home. At times I sit and wonder how can I make life more enjoyable for my family, save my money, just hang out more! Our boys are growing so quickly and what they gather from as parents is vitally important. I don’t want these years to fly by without the memories! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and will make magic in your memories too!
