Cookies and Cream Brownies….
I am so guilty of making desserts like these, oh well let’s enjoy. (YOLO).. These were so guilty good, and my boys really enjoyed them so much. The ingredients that you see in this picture, is all that it takes for this to be great! These are really quick, and easy to make especially as an after school treat! I have always cooked, my mom started my sister and I cooking at a very young age. Being that I was always under her foot in the kitchen, she was my idol through and through. When I turned 11 she let me loose to make my very own dinner (literally)!!!
My Legacy….
My mom was the matriarch to my neighborhood where I grew up. She provided for countless other people along with us, her family! There was never an empty seat at our table, and in her heart. We may even had thought at times we didn’t have enough for the neighborhood, but she made it stretch. Our lives were surrounded by the very nature of food, and til this day I wonder why I am NOT 500 pounds!!!!
As you can see my mixer has caught hell!! I’ll be honest this mixer was bought during a Black Friday sale one Thanksgiving, and I never looked back (only $10). It has never let me down, and I just keep on using it. Remember, your kitchen appliances don’t always have to be top of the line to be great. I find that the greatness comes from the love that goes into the dish altogether. I definitely am hard on myself when it comes to cooking. This dough will be very stiff, and please don’t add any more liquid to it.
This dough will be very greasy, and oily. It should be this way!
Use a pan that you can pat down ONLY 1/2 the dough with your fingers, and pushing it across the pan gently. This already looks so yummy, man I can taste it already! This dough is NOT cooked yet, but you have to cook it for about 5-7 minutes before you put the candy bars on.
For this size pan, we used about 6 bars total. This pan was a good size for my family of hungry boys! Once you put the bars down, please make sure that you use the other dough that was left over to cover the top of the bars with. You will literally have to pat out, and piece this dough all over the top of the bars. Make sure to move quickly though, the heat from the bottom will begin to make your bars melt.
