I was always intimidated by my mom’s cooking, and that really is an understatement. My mom just made MAGIC happen in the kitchen. I watched her every moment I could even while trying to be a normal teenager. She just inspired me in so many ways, and was the best teacher I ever had. With Mother’s Day coming it does make this time or season very difficult for me. Year after year I have definitely gotten stronger, and wiser. This mom of 4, is also learning to just cry when I need to, and understand that grief can be a journey.
Easy Artisan Bread Recipe 4 Ways….
This was a really fun time to work with my boys in the kitchen. They appreciate something new, and want to help me very often. I love having them only when they aren’t trying to eat all the ingredients on the counter. I decided to make 4 kinds of Artisan Bread, and wanted to share with you how easy it is to make. This is the part where I tell you that I am really missing my a lot, and want to talk to her so badly.
Most of my recipe originated from this one recipe… (Very Easy To Follow Recipe)
Traditional Recipe (White Bread Recipe)
1/2 tsp. yeast
1 tsp. salt
3 cups of All Purpose Flour
2 cups room temp water.
This is the first bread recipe HERE, that I shared with you a while back. It turned out great. I was intimidated by this bread, but even mines came out great.
I don’t eat bread all the time, but this is so good when you have a great soup, or stew to go with it. Our favorite soups to do with this bread is cheeseburger soup, and this really jambalaya soup I grab from our neighborhood grocery store.
Jalapeno Cheese Recipe…
Follow Original Recipe (Add these mix-ins)
1 Cup Fresh Jalapenos (this part is up to you)
1 cup Sharp Shredded Cheddar Cheese (you can use any cheese you like)
When I am letting this rest and rise, you can either let this rise for 8 hours, or 24 hours. I let mines for at least 8 hours, and it is perfect. Once you are done letting it rest for 8 hours on the counter top covered. When you come back to it, make sure to (de-gas) it so to let air out of it, put it into your dish to bake. Make sure to grease your baking pan with butter, or oil. After you place it in your dish to bake let it sit in the pan, to rise again for an hour.
Cranberry Almond Pistachio Bread…..
Please follow the first recipe that was given for the traditional recipe.
This was really yummy. The only variation to this recipe was adding almonds, craisins, and pistachios. I took to this bread more than my family, but they are still easy folks to please.
The last of my recipe was the ….
2 Grain Bread…..
Please follow the traditional recipe, and use sunflower seeds, and flax seeds. These are the only variations to all of my breads. I only choose different mix ins. These are extra yummy recipes, and my guys enjoy them a lot. As always thank you for stopping by my side of the world. If you want, or need any questions leave me a comment, or shoot me an email.
