Why “Delightfully Styled”
I chose “Delightfully Styled” based on which platforms I loved the most, and I wanted this to encompass all those things. I wanted this blog to be about the things that make you feel amazing in your clothes and your home. I feel that all things stylish home, and or fashion should make you happy!
What was your major in college?
My major in college was Interdisciplinary Studies, (Education) which has been a very rewarding career. I love working with children, and always want them to reach their best potential! Teaching has allowed me to meet some amazing people and some pretty awesome children. I have also had the luxury of having my children go through school with mommy down the hall. (Not much room for behavior problems, or getting away with things)… (LOL)
Is blogging my job?
No, I am a full-time 4th grade Reading and Social Studies teacher. I love blogging a lot but this is also a new platform for me. I would love to blog full-time, and I am making sure that I research every avenue to make this very dynamic, and maybe hang my teaching hat sometime soon!!
What is my favorite food?
That is a tough one. I grew up a true Southern girl, with Southern roots and very proud. I love to cook a lot for my family which consists of boys completely including my school teacher husband Jerral. There are those times when I will gravitate towards one type of food, but I always tend to reach for my southern roots now and again.
What is my favorite room in my home?
Well, I must say my bedroom due to the fact I am worn out by the end of a school day! Most of the time the moment I step foot in the door I am cooking for my brood, but loving every minute of it. My bedroom is my sanctuary, and I currently working on a ONE ROOM CHALLENGE of updating it!
How would you define your style?
I feel as though I fall in the classic, glam, and sometimes country glam depending on what I have been inspired by. Currently, hubby and I are renovating our 1980’s fixer-upper, and loving every minute of it. Some BIG changes have taken place, but also small ones too. Stay tuned for posts, and other things that you will see hit the blog. This has been the biggest home update I have ever attempted, but exciting too!!
